Childcare vouchers

Responding to Gordon Brown's announcement that new childcare entitlements for 250,000 two year olds will be paid for by removing tax allowances for new entrants into childcare voucher schemes, Daycare trust Joint Chief Executive Alison Garnham said:

"Expanding free places for two year olds is the right thing to do and the right direction for new public investment. However it shouldn't be other families with children that have to pay for it."
