Childcare for the Capital's Children

Will the new Mayor care about childcare?

Families in London face huge challenges finding affordable childcare that fits around jobs. In fact many families find themselves priced out of work altogether. Daycare Trust have teamed up with Save the Children and 4 in 10 to call on the next London mayor, Greater London Authority and local authorities to ensure London's parents can get high quality childcare at the times they need it at a cost they can afford.

That’s where you come in....

Please sign our petition and add your voice to the growing number of people calling on the Mayor to care.  The more signatures, the better our chances of making a real difference. So make sure you let as many people as possible know.

Come along to one of our events to tell your candidate you care in person.  We are holding four roadshows for you to meet your local GLA candidates and tell the real story about childcare in London on video and in our story book.  Join us at...

Fitzrovia Nursery - 4:30pm - 5:30pm Tuesday 17th April - Map

Plaistow Day Nursery - 5pm-6pm Thursday 26th April - Junction Road, Plaistow, E13 9DQ

Little Buds Mother and Toddler Group - 10:30-11:30 am Friday 27th April – Little Buds Mother and Toddler Group-  Oak Tree Anglican fellowship, 216 Acton High Street, W3 9NX

And finally your big chance to meet representatives from the Mayoral teams to tell the real story about family life in London on...

1st May at the Cardinal Hume Centre, Medway Street, London SW1P 2BG

You’ll have your say then hear how candidates plan to improve access to childcare, housing, advice, services and flexible jobs to help make up your mind before election day.  Refreshments provided.
