Equalities and diversity are a central element in her portfolio and she is regarded as a national leader in the implementation of Aiming High for Disabled Children. She acted as strategic adviser and project manager to one of the 10 Disabled Children’s Access to Childcare (DCATCH) national pilots and undertook evaluations of two of the others.
