How many children aged under three should childminders and nursery staff be allowed to look after at the same time?

Childcare Charter: Daycare Trust's campaign to make childcare a priority issue in the new parliament

Despite the major progress made in recent years, too many parents are struggling with the burden of paying huge childcare costs; and too many children are missing out on the high quality childcare that they deserve.

We know that these issues are affecting families up and down the country, in every single MP's constituency. That's why Daycare Trust published a pre-election Childcare Charter, setting out six policies that would provide practical family support and guarantee every child the best start in life.

Download the charter.

We will be working with the new government and MPs from all parties to campaign for these measures – from expansion of free nursery places to increased tax credits;  better  parental leave to more extended schools.

Now the new parliament is in place it’s vital that we are given a guarantee that investment in childcare is protected. Parents, childcare providers, and MPs from across the country have given their backing to our campaign.

Please join them today, and help us raise the voice of parents even more loudly.aqaqaaa`
