Is there sufficient childcare in your area for parents who work outside normal office hours?
Is there sufficient childcare in your area for parents who work outside normal office hours?
Supporting your staff with their childcare needs can benefit both you and your employees. The benefits of employer-supported childcare can include better recruitment and retention of staff, reduced absenteeism, a more motivated workforce, as well as financial savings for you and your employees.
You can help your staff with their childcare costs by offering a childcare voucher scheme. This can be administered externally, by a voucher provider company, or internally by running a self-administered scheme. You can also pay your employees' childcare provider direct by offering a directly-contracted childcare scheme. Information about all of these situations is provided in our factsheets for employers (see below). You will also find information about salary scarifice.
If you are a voucher company and would like the opportunity to have your details listed here, email cjoseph@daycaretrust.org.uk.
