Research

Daycare Trust conducts independent and robust research on behalf of a number of government departments, charities and research councils.

Our research aims to further the availability of sustainable, affordable and good quality childcare to all families; offering real choices to families to balance work and family life. We provide an interface between government, childcare providers, end-users and their parents. 

Our research team has expertise in the following areas:

• Childcare evaluation and analysis
• Gathering evidence-based research to inform reports
• National annual childcare and holiday childcare costs survey
• Design and analysis of surveys, both on-line and conventional
• Use of focus groups and in-depth interviews as research tools
• Consulting Expert and Parent Panels

Our research team work alongside Daycare Trust's consultancy service who provide bespoke expertise and project management on a wide-range of childcare issues.
