Child benefits: The importance of investing in quality childcare

Child benefits: The importance of investing in quality childcare

The quality of childcare matters because it affects the everyday experiences of children and their long-term development. The quality of childcare or differences in children’s experiences in different settings may have developmental consequences, and may explain whether childcare or pre-school experiences are beneficial. As childcare expands in the UK, it is important to ensure that quality services are developed to maximise the benefits to children.
